Cover-to-Cover Bible Class
Old Testament and New Testament
Description: Since 1982 Village Schools of the Bible has guided more than 7,000 people through Cover-to-Cover which is a comprehensive, full immersion discipleship study of the Bible where students read the entire Bible in nine months and write reflection papers to let God's truth sink in. First semester is spent immersed in the Old Testament while second semester is devoted to the New Testament. The textbooks provide a large view of each book of the Bible. Students' reflection papers encourage deep thinking and practical application of the truths discovered in the Bible. A teacher leads the class, and there is plenty of time for students to ask questions and discuss life application.
Five major themes are discussed and reviewed during the class:

Worldview
*A tuition payment will also be required for the second semester of this class.
Description: "What is truth?" Pontias Pilate's words echo down the halls of history and reverberate in the culture we live in and interact with on a daily basis. The purpose of this course is not to dictate the truth. Rather, the purpose of this course is to learn how to discern for oneself what is truth. In this class, we will challenge ideas and beliefs both Christian and secular, equip students to view life from various worldviews, and make decisions based on the worldviews that make the most sense. Students will study theology, philosophy, ethics, biology, psychology, sociology, law, politics, economics, and history. Joshua 24:15 says, "...choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Tutor: Josh De Leon
Length: Full Year Course
Level: 9th - 12th grade
Prerequisite: None
Homework: 30-60 minutes per day
Text Requirement: (To be purchased by parents) Understanding the Times: A Survey of Competing Worldviews as well as the accompanying Student Manual (5th edition).
